The side past times side halt on our recent trip to PRC was to the urban centre of Xi'an (pronounced she-ann), domicile of the infamous Terracotta Warriors. We flew from Beijing to Xi'an on PRC Eastern Airlines too it seemed every bit though nosotros had stepped dorsum inwards time. The girls loved the fancy cotton fiber candy.
My best estimate is that this was some sort of taffy pulling. They would trace the candy until it close touched the ground, too then they would flip it dorsum upwards the hook. So fun to watch!
Also, they were pounding another shape of candy amongst large mallets.
Matt saw a beef sandwich that he only had to try.
The man child chopped upwards the beef to a fine mince, too then loaded it into a apartment staff of life too added some sauce.
The finished product. We all loved this sandwich.
Not every 24-hour interval yous come across a sheep beingness cleaned correct inwards the street!

We kept seeing these fried cakes, too. They looked similar some sort of donut, thence nosotros decided to endeavour one.
We decided that it was truly some sort of sweetness white patato (?) patty amongst a gummy, chewy texture. I liked it okay, don't know if I'd club it again, though.
The Muslim Quarter was inwards the sometime town too I loved all of the traditional architecture inwards the area.
Then you'd come upwards across beautiful hidden courtyards, such every bit this one.
Overall, I only loved the vibe of this entire area!
On our walk dorsum the hotel, nosotros saw this ladder balanced on piece of occupation past times of some rickety scaffolding amongst a guy perched on top. We sort of wanted to hang out to witness the outcome of this decision.
Later that night....I had a soak inwards this amazing tub, overlooking a busy urban centre intersection too loved every glorious infinitesimal of it!
